Review

This was a rather interesting show, I did, and dint like it, it was actually pretty good, it was mostly the characters who bugged me. Now I havent seen beyond, uh, where she beat her freind who was the grey haried angel dude. So I'll tell you what I think of everything up to there. As you may have guessed, the main character is Sakura. And here's how the show got it's name: In the very beginning of the show, she found some book (Book of the Clow) as I recall. Well, being the curious girl she was, she opened in, and what was inside, but cards, lotsa them, a whole hell of a lot of cards. Adn as soon as she opened the book, they ecsaped, the cards are some embodyment of mystical creatures with powers over certian points of nature. Or just funky spririt things. Well, now she has to go and track them all down, with the help of what else, a small winged stuffed animal thing. I forget his name. Well not only does she have to find these things, but her freind always makes her do it in strange outfits. This ads some good comic relif to the show. So this goes on for a while with the same basic principle, get the cards, learn some lessons, do it in designer clothes. After a while a new kid some to school, as it turns out, he was trained for this exact job, but because Sakura let the cards out, she has to get them back, not him. So he's kinda pissed that she didnt do anything and she got his job. He's your typical stoic guy, like Heero Yuy from Gundam Wing, only smaller. Theres another point about this show, it was made by CLAMP so evreyone has an almost chibi look to them, but this is to be expected with CLAMP's work. So, after a while, she gives up trying to get the cards on his own, and starts helping Sakura. This is much better now, because we dont have to listen to him whining about her getting his job. Oh yes, forget ot mention Sakura has a neat wand thingy with which she can capture the rouge cards, and use the ones she already has. The season caps off with the guy who was her best freind(not the one who made her wear funky clotes) being some kind of Clow gaurdian(looks like an Archangel) and he tests her, and there's this other lady whom I just remembered, who is some other kind of Clow-related person who gives Sakura a second chance because she loses to the Archangel guy. Well, since he's her freind, she cant kill him or even harm him, so she ends up captureing him within these wind thingies, and the last episode I saw ends with her getting promoted or soemthing, and some other kid looking down and smiling manicially. Overall, pretty good, not my favorite thing in a show, but then it wasnt made for guys. So anyway, I actually do recomend you watch this, just not on any network channel, the WB edited and removed and edited so badly, uhhgg, go buy the first DVD or downlaod an episode.
