Pilot Candidate/Candidate for Goddess
This show tried for Evangelion, and failed horrbily.  You can;'t make sense out of half the show and then to complicate things even more it ads an enemy of which you know know nothing about.  Then it goes and end at episode 13, without you ever knowing if the main kid ever made it to be a poilot or not!  It seems like he did, but the show seems to skip some 15 episodes.
And now the summary.  Pilot candidate starts off with our main character being transported to a traning facility in space, not by force mind you, but because he has something called EX, a version of psycicpowers that ups the bodies abilitys by thousands, but also if it goes out of control it can destroy the weird traning ground he at.  There are also these giant robots, called Goddesses,   that look like Evas crossed with Gundams, they are about the size of Evas and they have a very humanoid figure, female to be exact.  But they are entirely machine, although they do seem to have a soul of some kinda or a kind of artifical inteligence.  heck, our hero almost gets his wish in episode 2(to be a pilot of a Goddess that is).  He later gets a partner, who is a repairer and fizes the Goddeses, she lost her hearing when she was a child, but had her ears replaced with cate eears!(do I sense the reemergence of cat-girl mutations?)  anyway, she always wears a hat to cover them(yes 24/7 she wears a hat)  eventually our her knocks her hat off and she gets really pissed at him and storms away.  YThen theres this other guy whos got red eyes(again like NGE) and our hero on and off fights with this guy to no avail, and he seems to be an enemy, but nothing ever comes of this non-freindship.  In the end it gets more and more confusing, little, if any of it makes sense and it just totally went downhill.  Is it worth watching?  Watching yes, buying, no, if you can find a way to watch it on TV or something before buying it, I reccomend you do so, it is definately not a keeper in my opinion.
Think differently?  e-mail me your review of the show and I'll be happy to post it.
